Dr Igor Maljkovic is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with decades of experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, in 1997 with an excellent grade point average of 9.25, and later completed his specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade between 2001 and 2006, passing the specialist exam with top marks.

Born in 1972 in Bor, Serbia, Dr Maljkovic built his career through positions at leading hospitals in Belgrade and Bor, progressing from general practitioner to head of a day surgery department and later hospital director. Over the years he has performed more than 1,500 reconstructive and aesthetic procedures, with particular focus on breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring.

After completing his medical studies in Belgrade, Dr Maljkovic started working at reputable hospitals in Belgrade and Eastern Serbia, gaining broad surgical experience across general, reconstructive and later aesthetic surgery. During his specialization at the VMA Clinic for Plastic Surgery and Burns, he refined his skills in complex reconstructive procedures, trauma-related surgery and soft-tissue reconstruction, which later shaped his precision and attention to detail in aesthetic work.

With more than twenty years of experience, Dr Maljkovic has held a number of responsible clinical positions, including head of a day surgery department and acting director of a regional hospital. This background provided extensive hands-on experience in managing demanding cases and coordinating multidisciplinary care, before he gradually focused his practice on aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring and facial procedures.

Alongside daily clinical work, he has attended numerous national and international congresses, workshops, cadaver courses and masterclasses in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, continuously updating his techniques in breast surgery, facial rejuvenation and body contouring. He has authored and co-authored more than 30 scientific and professional papers in the field of plastic surgery, contributing to national medical conferences and specialised journals.
